Top 4 New Year Fitness Resolutions

As we prepare to bid goodbye to this year and ready ourselves to embrace 2022, many of us cannot keep our calm. During the initial phases of globally imposed lockdowns, many people found it hard to adjust to a different world, which caused us to comfort eating, working from home, moving less, and adding more pounds to our weight than we ever wanted.

That said, with the New Year just around the corner, it is high time to sign up for a Fitness Genetic Test and boost our physical, mental, and emotional health from day one of the upcoming year. Understandably, many of us cannot wait to kickstart our diet plans and hit the nearest gym; however, the sad truth is that many of us will be setting unrealistic goals and letting go of our resolutions after one or two weeks already.

To avoid this, we have gathered a list of four fitness-related New Year resolutions that will be easy to do. Read on to learn more!

Skip the Elevator

This New Year resolution is easy and doable unless you have some serious joint issues. The new work-from-home rules have impacted nearly everyone, and, resultantly, we don’t take the stairs as much as we once used to do. That said, you can make fitness interesting by setting smaller goals, and stair-climbing is just one of them. By skipping the elevator and taking the stairs more frequently,  you will be doing your body a great favor.

Consume More Water

Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and it needs some pampering too. While you should never skip on a good-quality sunblock, your New Year’s resolution should include the priority of drinking water and never allowing yourself to be dehydrated again. You will soon bid goodbye to random headaches and see a massive improvement in the way your skin looks and feels.

Adopt a New Hobby

The upcoming year shouldn’t be only about your physical health. Still, your emotional and mental wellbeing needs to be on priority as well, which is why we recommend taking up a new hobby and trying to make massive progress throughout the year. The hobby can include learning a new skill, such as baking, cooking, painting – the list goes on and on. The bottom line is to try something new, and preferably, step out of your comfort zone. Trust us when we tell you that life is too short to hold back and not live your life to the fullest.

Hit the Bed Early

Many people don’t realize the importance of getting a good-night ‘s sleep. Include this goal in your list of New Year resolutions. The goal should be to go to bed early and wake up early. If you were struggling with time management last year, this is the year to change it and get more done while getting adequate rest during the night. If you want to make the most of your sleeping pattern, make it a habit to turn off all tech gadgets at least one hour before bedtime.
