Guide to a Quick and Easy Tarot Card Reading

Tarot Card Reading

Tarot cards have been around for centuries. They are used in fortune telling and other metaphysical practices, but they’re also just fun to look at. Whether you believe that the cards hold some greater truth or not, it’s still fun to do a quick reading every now and then.

The way I do my readings is to shuffle the deck until I feel that the cards are ready to be read. You can use these steps or come up with your own system.

The next thing you’ll want to do is divide the deck into piles of ten cards each. If you’re not sure how many ten card piles there should be, I like to break the deck in two using a bridge shuffle. The process of a bridge shuffle is to hold the deck of cards in your left hand and split it in half using your right.

Then, complete another bridge shuffle on top of the first one. After you’re done with that, turn over one card from each pile above. Now you should have two piles: one of twenty cards and one of ten cards.

From the ten card pile, choose seven cards and place them in a line in front of you. Then, take the other three cards and place them to the right of the other stack. They will be what you turn over when it’s time for your reading. The first set of seven represent the past while the second set represents the future.

Now it’s time to do your reading. If you’re using smaller cards like these, then you can fan them out in front of you, but if you’re using regular sized tarot cards then just leave them stacked face down (or turn all the cards over). First, look at the first card on the left side. This is what you should focus on in the near future.

Next, look at the card second from the left. This is a warning or obstacle that you may encounter.

The third card is about your current situation, while the fourth card is about your feelings on this situation. The fifth card is what you should do about it, and the sixth card is the outcome.

The seventh and final card is about your long-term future. This is what you should be striving for.

Now, it’s time to interpret the other three cards on the right side of the reading. The first one is about your feelings in the near future, while the second one is the outcome of your current situation. The third card is your long-term future in the near future.

There you have it! A quick and easy spread that can help you discover more about what’s going on in your life. You don’t have to use all seven cards from each pile – just the ones that feel right to you.

The spreads I’ve described can be used for anything from what is happening now to what you should do in the long term. You can also use these cards as a cool prop for roleplaying or just as something to stare at while you daydream.

Any way you choose to use them, they’re sure to satisfy your curiosity and entertain you for hours on end. Happy reading!
